Brief.

Down underground, the subsoil is teeming with life! Worms and microorganisms, nature’s recyclers, are hard at work turning scraps into healthy, fertile soil.

We created this mixed-media video to accompany a theatre play and workshop for kids on sustainable food production. Narrated by Worm, one of the illustrated stars of the show, the film shows how compost is “cooked up” beneath our feet.

This video is one of three in the series and was also published as part of an online interactive educational tool for primary school children.
